If you are about to visit the Czech Republic and you don’t know where to go except Prague, then you have found the perfect spot for help. The Czech Republic is not only Prague, there are many cities and towns worth visiting and I can give you some useful information on this topic. The first thing you need to decide is whether you are going to make day trips or you want to travel all across the country. When I was in the Czech Republic a couple of years ago I’d preferred the first variant simply because I didn’t have enough money. But don’t think that there are not enough places near Prague that are incredible and should be paid a visit. Anyway if you agree with me and you prefer to stay in Prague and visit places for one day then the first thing you would have to do is to rent an apartment. Yes, rent an apartment – forget about the hotels. Most of them are really expensive! Apartments Prague can be found on affordable rates, depending on the date of your arrival plus the fact that the earlier you book – the better. I’ve been to Florence and Budapest and to tell you the truth – Florence apartments and Budapest apartments are difficult to find and more expensive. So make sure you find the best place that suits your needs and has all the amenities you need.

Here is a list of places you should visit – Terezin, Cesky Raj, Olomouc, the Valtice area, Cesky Krumlov, Telc. Not all of them are suitable for day trips but all of them are unique and should be visited. If you have more money you can always rent a car and go to all of them. I can guarantee you that you will be amazed by the things you are going to see. Olomoc can be considered as a student town and many people claim that it is “dead” when the students are not there but this is not true. You will still have plenty of places to visit and the town is still pretty. I just remembered Kutna Hora – also a great place suitable for a visit. The Czech Republic is known for its castles from medieval times. There are not many countries all over the world that can offer you such wide variety of sights. Other interesting destination is Domazlice located near the border of Germany. Except for the fact that it has lots of interesting things to offer, the town if famous with its brewery – you should pay attention to it as well and if you have a chance try the local beer. These are basically most of the places I can think of and I’ve been to. Perhaps other persons will recommend you other places – everything is up to you and your budget so decide where you want to go! Have a nice trip – The Czech Republic has definitely lots to offer to tourists
